Named Best Scholarship Nonprofit in the United States of 2026 — and what happens next
September 7, 2026 · Hariom Helps Foundation · 4 min read · Updates
Best of Best Review has named Hariom Helps Foundation the **Best Scholarship Nonprofit in the United States of 2026**. For a foundation run on small gifts from ordinary people, that recognition belongs to every donor, teacher and judge who put a student first.
What the award recognises
The review looked at how directly money reaches students, how carefully recipients are verified, and how openly a nonprofit reports back. Three things we hold to:
- **Every dollar is traceable.** Gifts are tied to a specific student, school or fund, and each one produces a numbered 501(c)(3) receipt. - **Students are verified before a dollar moves.** Identity, enrolment and school details are reviewed by our admin team and volunteer judges before any award is released. - **Payouts go to schools, not to inboxes.** Tuition money is sent to the verified institution the student names, so it can only be spent on education.
Where donations went this year
Tuition and fee awards for high school and college students, the Hariom Impact Scholarship Challenge for the Class of 2027 — including a $500 People's Choice award decided by public vote — and a new education fund for children in Nepal, where 100% of each gift reaches our partner because donors cover the admin and card fees on top.
What we are building next
We are becoming a platform for education and teen wellbeing, not only scholarships:
- **The Hariom Impact Scholarship Challenge** continues, with blind, bias-free judging and volunteer judges who earn verified service hours. - **Teacher nominations**, so an educator who knows a student can put them forward directly. - **Corporate sponsorships**, letting companies host branded challenges and named tuition funds. - **Partner initiatives** — FundMyDreams.org for specific student needs, and EmotionalTeen.com, an initiative by Anushka Nagchoudhury, for teen wellbeing.
How you can help
Give to the general fund or to Kids in Nepal in under a minute — no account and no ID check needed. Every completed gift receives a tax-deductible receipt from Hariom Helps Foundation, EIN 39-3478903. To fund a named student, complete a one-time donor verification; it protects the student and keeps every dollar traceable.
You can also volunteer as a judge or mentor, nominate a student as a teacher, or sponsor a challenge as a company. Thank you for making this award mean something.
Fund a student's tuition
