When a scholarship isn't the right tool: FundMyDreams.org

September 3, 2026 · Hariom Helps Foundation · 3 min read · Updates

Hariom Helps Foundation funds tuition, and we pay schools directly. That discipline is deliberate, but it means some very real needs fall outside what we can cover.

The gaps we can't fill

A laptop for a coding course. Travel to a competition. Exam fees, a musical instrument, a certification, or a family emergency that threatens a student's ability to stay enrolled. These are not tuition, so a tuition fund is the wrong instrument.

What FundMyDreams does

FundMyDreams.org lets a student raise money for a specific, named goal from their own community. It works where a scholarship queue does not: fast, personal, and tied to one concrete thing.

How we use it

When a teacher nominates a student whose need isn't tuition, and when a student's request falls outside our scope, we point them to FundMyDreams.org rather than closing the door. It is part of how we are becoming a platform for education rather than a single scholarship programme.

Fund a student's tuition

Every dollar is paid directly to a verified school on behalf of a verified student.
